The forgiveness Act will expire December 2013. This is a reality if your bank forecloses on you, they will send you a 1099 for the difference . Let me explain in real numbers, if you owe $400,000 and the bank Forecloses for $100,000 the difference is $100,000. You will receive a 1099 for 100,000.
